Sports and racing car maker Ferrari persistently denies it was ransacked. At the same time, the RansomEXX hack group added the automaker to the list of its victims and claims to have stolen 7 GB of data from Ferrari.

Representatives of RansomEXX announced the hacking of Ferrari over the weekend. The hackers claim to have stolen numerous documents from the company, which include contracts, invoices, inside information, repair guides and more.
Ferrari representatives have now told the media that they are aware of this alleged data breach, but the company stressed that it is not currently investigating any ransomware attacks or cybersecurity incidents.
Interestingly, the RansomEXX message does not contain ransom demands, and the hackers are silent about exactly how they allegedly hacked the Ferrari.
Let me remind you that earlier this group attacked such well-known companies as Gigabyte, Hellman Worldwide and the Zegna fashion brand. And although in the past this particular group has not been convicted of lying, in general, hackers sometimes wishful thinking. For example, in August 2022, Clop ransomware operators claimed to have attacked Thames Water, the UK’s largest provider of water and wastewater treatment services. As it turned out, they mixed up the two companies, and in fact, another British company, South Staffordshire Water, was attacked.
